Bio

After studying law and product development at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) in the nineties, Kris chose to pursue a slightly different path in the film industry.

He began at GRID as a compositor, CG artist, and VFX generalist, building a strong foundation across both the creative and technical aspects of the craft. Over the following decade, he evolved into the role of VFX Supervisor, leading complex film and commercial projects with a sharp focus on visual storytelling and production excellence.

Alongside his work in visual effects, Kris developed a career as a photographer and cinematographer, contributing to international commercial, fashion, and editorial campaigns. This work further refined his understanding of light, composition, and narrative, enriching his visual language across mediums.

Since 2018, he has served as Head of Visual Effects at CAVIAR and LOOM, overseeing a growing department of 30+ artists. Combining leadership, strategic vision, and creative direction, he developed scalable workflows, fostered seamless collaboration between production teams, directors, and cinematographers, and maintained the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Having transitioned from hands-on shot work to executive leadership, Kris retains the strong creative and technical perspective that has defined his career. As a VFX Executive Producer and Senior VFX Supervisor at AFTERGLOW, he brings extensive experience, strategic insight, and a grounded creative vision to every project. He continues to shape both the artistic direction and production methodology of contemporary VFX workflows.

Kris is deeply committed to cultivating a motivated and balanced team culture. Through mentorship and thoughtful resonant leadership, he creates environments in which professional growth, creativity, and accountability thrive side by side.

With extensive experience guiding visual effects from the earliest stages of project development, Kris has advised on script revisions to align creative ambitions with production scope, collaborated closely with directors and cinematographers on set, and guided projects through post-production to final delivery. Having seen the best and worst of VFX production firsthand, he has built a service designed to keep projects strategically aligned, operationally efficient, and firmly on track from development to completion.
