Bio

After studying law and product development at the University of Antwerp (Belgium), Kris chose to pursue a slightly different path in the film industry.

In the late nineties, he entered the industry at GRID as a compositor, CG artist, and VFX generalist, where he developed a solid foundation spanning both the creative and technical sides of the craft. Over the following decade, he evolved into the role of VFX Supervisor, leading complex film and commercial projects with a sharp focus on visual storytelling and production excellence.

In parallel, he developed a career as a photographer and cinematographer, contributing to international commercial, fashion, and editorial campaigns. This work further refined his understanding of light, composition, and narrative, enriching his visual language across mediums.

Since 2018, he has served as Head of VFX at CAVIAR and LOOM, overseeing a growing department of 30+ artists. His role combines leadership, strategic vision, and creative direction. He develops scalable workflows, ensures seamless collaboration between production teams and directors/DPs, and upholds the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Having transitioned from hands-on shot work to executive-level leadership, he maintains a strong creative and technical vision that continues to shape both the artistic direction and production methodology of the VFX department.  As a Senior VFX Supervisor he brings extensive experience & a grounded creative vision.

He is deeply committed to cultivating a motivated and balanced team culture, fostering growth through mentorship, and building environments where creativity and accountability thrive side by side.
